Former Iloilo City Hall
April 23rd, 2007

Italian sculptor Francesco Riccardo Monti collaborated with Filipino Architect Juan Arellano to design this building which became the former Iloilo City Hall. This building was completed and inaugurated in 1936 and is now the main building of the University of the Philippines in the Visayas (UPV) Iloilo City Campus.
The entrance of the building is flanked by two imposing monuments, “Law” and “Order”, which are credited to Monti. The building houses an art gallery in its main hall.
